HAPPY99
(USA)
NYC-based design duo Nathalie Nguyen and Dominic Lopez founded Happy99 in 2018 to build an alternate virtual fashion universe for the children of the internet. Rejecting the environmentally damaging and self-serving logic of fast fashion, the brand interrogates our relationship to consumption with an exhilarating narrative-based approach to design. Garments and accessories are launched as digital renderings, with only a small selection of knitwear available for IRL wear as well as URL enjoyment. Quirky cuts and futuristic details inject T-shirts, vests, and shorts with a flirtatious rave-revival quality and, inflected with ‘90s video game nostalgia. Jacquard-knit textiles feature rapturous graphics from the label’s digital universe in an explosive, glimmering colour palette befitting a line of collectible toys. With its conscious disruption of fashion industry tropes, Happy99 is charting an exciting sartorial dreamland that transcends the on- vs. offline divide.

HOTEL OLYMPIA
(PARIS)
Designed and created by Olympia Le Tan.
"Hotel Olympia is not a hotel, at least not in this world. In a land of dreams, the Hotel Olympia appears as a cute pink doll’s house. It’s Alice in Wonderland meets Eloise at the Plaza, meets the sexy pin-ups of the 1950s. It’s a place where your inner child sneaks around exploring every corner and where your current self sneaks into a room to get up to no good. If the walls could talk, they would have a lot to say.
After years of collecting bits and pieces from my favourite hotels around the world, I wanted to create my own version of these precious souvenirs. Who hasn’t stashed a hotel towel or ashtray in their suitcase before check-out...?
Hotel Olympia captures the experience of this imaginary place through a collection of luxurious home goods, accessories, and a few pieces of clothing for the bedroom or the town... The collection is colourful, cozy, and witty, covered in intricate embroideries, beautifully crafted by artisans around the world."
