USA Tariffs

Please note:

✦ Regulations are changing frequently.
✦ The following information is intended as a guide only.
✦ Check with your local DHL for accurate and up to date information.

New charges for U.S. customers.

Due to new tariffs (import duties and taxes) imposed by the U.S. GOVERNMENT you may be invoiced by DHL for additional import charges after ordering. These charges are in addition to the purchase and shipping costs already paid at checkout.

There is nothing PAM or our customers can do to avoid paying these charges. They consist of import tariffs defined by the US government, plus a processing & brokerage fee charged by DHL.

Do the tariffs apply to all orders?

The highest tariffs apply to products made in China or Hong Kong.

Tariffs still apply to all products made outside of the USA, but are usually lower.

How is it paid?

You will be invoiced by DHL once your shipment reaches U.S. customs.

Please note that all funds paid are received by DHL and U.S. Customs – P.A.M. does not receive any funds.

What if the customer doesn't want to pay?

Customers who reject their shipment or refuse to pay import tariffs, taxes and duties will not be refunded.

The shipment will be returned to PAM at a high cost (higher than the original shipping rates) or disposed of. This means PAM is at a loss due to the customer's refusal, therefore the customer can not expect to be refunded.

What will it cost?

GOODS MADE IN CHINA / HONG KONG

Currently (until some time in August 2025) if you order products that were made in China or Hong Kong, you could be charged :

Up to 20% general tariff (varies depending on product type)
+
30% ‘made in China' tariff
+
$17 DHL processing fee

For example, if you order a US$100 t-shirt that was made in China, you could be charged :

$16.50 general tariff
+
$30 ‘made in China’ tariff
+
$17 DHL processing fee
=
Total $63.50

GOODS MADE ELSEWHERE (NOT USA OR CHINA / HONG KONG)

Products made in places other than USA or China have varying tariff rates. Some places have a 10% baseline tariff (e.g. Australia) while others have a reciprocal tariff (e.g. Japan 24%).

If you order products that were made in Australia you could be charged :

Up to 20% general tariff (varies depending on product type)
+
10% baseline tariff
+
$17 DHL processing fee

For example, if you order a US$100 t-shirt that was made in Australia, you could be charged :

$16.50 general tariff
+
$10 baseline tariff
+
$17 DHL processing fee
=
Total $43.50

What next?

We are working with DHL trying to predict and minimise these costs as much as possible.
