USA Tariffs

U.S. CUSTOMERS

Due to new tariffs imposed by the U.S. GOVERNMENT you may be invoiced by DHL for ADDITIONAL IMPORT CHARGES. These charges are in addition to the purchase and shipping costs already paid at checkout.

There is nothing PAM or our customers can do to avoid paying these charges. They are made up of a combination of old and new import tariffs defined by the US government, plus a processing & brokerage fee charged by DHL.

What will it cost?

ORDERS OVER US$800

When importing products that were made in China or Hong Kong, with a total value of over $800, you will be charged :

Up to 20% standard tariff + 20% ‘Made in China’ tariff + $17 DHL processing fee

For example, if you purchase a men’s t-shirt for US$100, the additional import charges you need to pay will be something like :

$16.50 standard tariff + $20 ‘Made in China’ tariff + $17 DHL processing fee = Total $53.50

ORDERS UNDER US$800

According to official sources, if the total value of your order is under $800 you will not be charged the 10% 'Made in China' tariff. The other charges listed above may still apply.

How is it paid?

You will be invoiced by DHL once your shipment reaches USA customs. Please note that all funds paid are received by DHL and U.S. Customs – P.A.M. does not receive any funds.

What next?

We are working with DHL to try and minimise these costs as much as possible.
