NEIGHBORHOOD
(JAPAN)
NEIGHBORHOOD is a Japanese clothing brand established in 1994 in Tokyo’s Harajuku district. Founded by Shinsuke Takizawa, the brand grew from his deep-rooted fascination with motorcycle subculture and has since become known for its distinctive take on Japanese streetwear.
NEIGHBORHOOD clothing draws on influences from motorcycle culture, London punk, military dress, outdoor apparel and vintage American workwear. The result is a distinctive mix of utilitarian detailing, graphic references and carefully considered silhouettes that reflect the brand’s long-standing connection to subculture and counterculture.
