Cut in Cannes is a two fronted exploration into two of Mathew Hale’s collages. Upon folding out the complete work, the viewer is then taken on a comprehensive tour of the elements and details within the collages, entitled “Page 96 of Milk Miriam?” and “Page 92 of Die Neue Miriam”. Physical objects, detailed planes and parallels resound in both the original works and the book, making for an insightful, intimate and interactive journey within the collage.

Mathew Hale was born in 1962 in Swindon, Wiltshire, UK, lives and works in Berlin. Represented by Michel Rein in Paris and Wentrup in Berlin, his work is in major collections worldwide.
